What does SHANYI mean?

The word ‘SHANYI’ means ‘Grace, Goodwill, Favour, Benevolence and Kindness’ in Mandarin. We chose it for our brand, firstly because Grace is the first name of our founder and secondly because Mandarin is a global language and the most spoken in the world. We are building a global brand that embraces goodwill and benevolence as a part of our core values.

What ingredients does Shanyi Brands use?

We are an ethically sound brand that uses safe, natural and certified ingredients that possess therapeutic and healing properties to nourish your hair and skin. In our products you will find raw butters, waxes, clays and gels, fresh fruit and herbs, cold-pressed oils, organic clays and botanical extracts, fragranced only with pure essential oils. You won’t find any artificial preservatives, petroleum, mineral oil, silicones or parabens in any of our products.

Where do Shanyi Brands source its ingredients from?

We are proud to currently source over 50% of our raw materials from Nigeria and our neighbouring West African countries. Job creation and third world development are at the forefront of our mission as a truly African company.

Orders

Are your products safe for children and pregnant women or nursing mothers?

All our products are 100% natural and safe for children and adults alike.

However, some essential oils are not recommended for pregnant women and we have crafted a range with ingredients especially for the delicate skin and hair of children. Please consult your doctor if you have any concerns, and we’d of course be happy to help.

What payment methods does Shanyi Brands accept?

All customers will be required to pay via bank transfer or via debit/credit cards before dispatch. Our bank details will be provided during your order placement. Payment can also be accepted via PayPal for international orders. We no longer accept payment on delivery for online orders.

Can you provide me a discount code for my order?

Our discounts are applied during promotions. Please follow us on our social media pages or sign up for our Newsletter for announcements on upcoming promotions.

How can I make changes or cancel my order?

Once your order has been processed and dispatched, we are unable to accept any changes to your order.

However, if you choose to, you may cancel an order before it leaves our facility if it has not been packed or staged for shipping. Once your order has been processed and dispatched we are unable to accept any changes to your order. If you’d like to make a change before your order has been processed please call us on +234 (0) 818 328 8590 and be ready to quote your order number.

What if I had an allergic reaction to your product?

We recommend discontinue use immediately and contact your physician. They can provide you details on what ingredient you may have had a reaction to.

Are there any franchise or wholesale distribution opportunities available with Shanyi Brands?

Shanyi Brands is a privately owned and operated company with no franchise opportunities at this time. However, if you want to be a wholesaler, you can join our Partnership Program to sign up.

I have a question or an issue with my order but I purchased from a retailer. What should I do?

Please contact the store you purchased from for a return or exchange. We are unable to provide a return or exchange for a purchase made through a retailer.

Why is the consistency of the product I just ordered different from the one I already have?

We use natural and organic ingredients with no harmful chemicals. Due to the nature of the ingredients, the consistency and scent may differ.

Delivery & Returns

When will I receive my order?

All orders are subject to a 2-day processing time, meaning that your order's shipping time (i.e. 1-2 days for Lagos metropolis orders, 3-5 days for all other locations in Nigeria, and 7-10 days for international orders) will start after you’re order has been processed. Please note all these days are business days and do not include weekends and public holidays.

During our busier months (November-January) and sales, orders may have longer processing times before shipping.

How do I receive free shipping on my order?

To qualify for Free Shipping within Lagos, your order must reach 100,000 naira before tax or shipping is applied. Please select the Free Shipping option when choosing your carrier method.

Can I pick up my order instead of having it delivered?

Yes, you can pickup from our Lagos Office. Kindly choose the pickup option at checkout.

Does Shanyi Brands ship overseas

Yes we do! All international orders are sent using DHL via recorded delivery. The postage and packaging cost is from $20 – $35 (depending on location) and orders can be expected to arrive within 10 working days after full payment is received.

How come the tracking number isn’t working?

If your package just shipped, please allow at least one to two business days for the carrier to update their site with all tracking information.

I have a rush order. Can it be delivered by Saturday?

Shipping times are based on Monday – Friday deliveries.

Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

Thank you for shopping at shanyibrands.com. Once an order has shipped, we do not accept returns or exchanges due to the sensitivity of our products. Exceptions are made if the order is received damaged with evidence.

What are your shipping and delivery options?

Doorstep Delivery Within the 36 States in Nigeria.

Outside Nigeria: All international orders are sent via using DHL via recorded delivery. The postage and packaging cost is from $20 – $35 (depending on location) and orders can be expected to arrive within 5-10 working days after full payment is received.

Do I have to pay customs fees for international shipping?

You may be asked to pay customs fees upon delivery of the package, depending on your country of residence. The amount is specific to each country and depends on the amount of your order.

The tracking shows the package was delivered but I didn’t receive my package. What if I have a lost or stolen package?

When completing an order, the customer must provide a safe and accurate address for delivery. Once an order has shipped, Shanyi Brands is not responsible for lost or stolen packages confirmed to be delivered to the address entered for the order.

Please contact the carrier for any information regarding the delivery. Have your tracking number available to provide to the carrier to assist with the investigation.

Once an order has shipped and tracking becomes available, we recommend the receiver be available on the estimated date of arrival of the package or the receiver contact the carrier to schedule a pick up at the holding facility.

My order was broken/damaged/melted* when I received it, what do I do?

We carefully wrap and seal all our products before shipping, however despite these efforts, damages occasionally occur in transit. If this does happen please send a picture of the damaged or defective product to shanyiorganics@gmail.com within 24 hours of your delivery receipt. Please note that we are not liable for any damages and that refunds will be issued on a case-by-case basis.

Unfortunately, we are not able to process claims for damaged orders placed through third-party vendors. You will need to get in touch with them directly.

*Exception for Melted Products – Butter based products are made to melt at body temperature so as to be easily absorbed by your skin. And so during the hotter months, these products may melt during transit. In most cases, you should be able to pop the products into the fridge or freezer and be able to use them (although the original product texture may change). Please note, we are not able to replace or refund these items if they melt in transit.
